The Playground located next to the Butler Community Centre is property of  Waterford City Council.  In June 2005, following a need to locate a playground in the St. John's Park area as recognised by Waterford City Council and the Sacred Heart Community Action Group, the Board of Management agreed to hand over part of our site to the City Council to provide the much needed facility.

The Playground got its name following a competition held in the local primary schools and the "Adventure Together" Playground was opened in July 2006.

On behalf of Waterford City Council, staff from the Butler Community Centre open and close the playgound and look after the general cleaning, grass cutting, litter etc.

Opening Times : Monday to Saturday 9am to dusk
